He is ploughing his way through them. He loved Harry Potter, Tom Gates, the Middle school Series, Diary of a Whimpy Kid, The Map to everywhere etc. So if you have a boy into those kinds of books this could be for him.

It's fine. And that's about the best I can say. New characters are introduced like Joshua Tilpin who remain extremely undeveloped. The plot once again invloves rescuing Billy while Charlie finds more clues that might lead him to his father. I want to enjoy the series more than I do, and find much of it charming and well meaning. I'm also aware of the fact that it's written for children younger than the Harry Potter crowd. Still, there are enough discrepancies in the book that I find myself frustrated with them at times.This installment more than the previous.
