I loved this book and I'm SO excited that it is the start of another series from Rebecca Connolly. The Spinsters, with a capital S, are a group of ladies who society has placed on the shelf, but who refuse to accept that as a fate worse than death. In an era when making a good match is the ultimate goal and purpose to a young woman's life, these women prove that they don't need a man to be happy and fulfilled. Maybe that's why it was so satisfying to read the love story of Georgie, the leader of the Spinsters, and Tony, the one man who takes the time to know the women behind The Spinster Chronicles for the lovely ladies they are. Tony's genuine friendship, attention, understanding and affection towards Georgie open her heart to the love she never thought she would find. I can't wait for the rest of the Spinsters to find loves that are worth their wait in this delightful new series!

I love the Arrangements series and was looking forward to more from the author, but as much as I tried thinking it will get better, I just couldn't finish this book. Too much nonsensical narrative and not enough plot!
This was a great story. Lots of drama, laughs, romance, some misunderstandings, learning to forgive and trust, and a great HEA! In other words, everything a lovely love story needs. And, it was even a clean story; it only had great kissing. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
I just love the way that Rebecca Connolly writes. Entertaining, witty, engaging, with just the right amount of romance and humor. Yes, the first couple of chapters seemed a little overwhelming with all of the new characters, but I understand that she needed to set up this new series. This story was thoroughly enjoyable, and now I'm looking forward to the next Spinster story ;)
I’ve read all of Connolly’s books and I’ll say this isn’t my least favorite. However, it’s not my favorite or even in Top 5. She’s done better, but she’s proven herself an accomplished writer, and I’m planning to read whatever she writes next. This book is different than her norm, but still good and I found it to be enjoyable. Unfortunately, not a page turner, but I appreciate that I never know quite what I’m getting from her books.
This was a cute and unique regency. I liked the take of the Spinster Chronicles, a series of articles written by a group of spinsters, giving advice and trying to help the women of the ton navigate the marriage mart. Of course, the gentlemen of the ton don't care for this one bit!

I thought this set up the rest of the series well, I'm assuming each of the spinster will eventually get their own books. Which I look forward to. Each spinster, Georgie, Prue, Charlotte, Izzy and Grace were unique and it'll be fun to see how each of their stories unfold and what man will sweep them off their feet! Georgie is the star of this book and the designated leader of the pack. I liked Georgie and thought she was easy to relate to. Our hero, Anthony Sterling, was the perfect gentleman. Very kind, understanding and charming. I thought he and Georgie had fun chemistry and banter.

Overall, this was a fun read. I did feel like there were a LOT of characters to keep track of. To the point I almost wish I had a notepad handy so I could keep everyone straight. It was a tad predictable, but still pleasant and a fun afternoon read. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Georgie and her spinster friends have set out to save young ladies from the follies of youth and help them navigate the mysteries of the Season through a witty newspaper column. Tony, back from the army and bored, is propelled by his curiosity to investigate the Spinsters with an S. He finds a delightfully diverse group of single ladies. Rather than break them up, as his cousin suggests, he joins them.

WRITING QUALITY The author excels at writing dialogue. Her character development is better than average. However, the plot lags in the middle with too much description and not enough momentum. Though the author gives helpful introspection for the characters it becomes TOO much and she leans toward passive voice - telling us way more than necessary.

While I enjoyed the spicy narrative the story lagged. I wouldn’t mind learning the happy endings of the rest of the endearing Spinsters but I’m not sure I want to wade through that much verbiage to find them. /
I've enjoyed all of Rebecca Connolly's books, but I think this one may be my favorite. Absolutely hilarious banter, wonderful characters, and a great storyline. The romances are well written while remaining sweet and clean. Can't wait for the next in the series!
